DNA is the only currency that matters in Evolve a Cell. It levels you up, pays for parts in the editor, and decides how fast you reach rebirth. Here are the sources we've seen, from best to worst.
Ranked sources
| Source | How fast | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Feeding Frenzy event | Very fast | Food everywhere. Stop hunting and eat. |
| Meteor Shower (big omnivore) | Very fast | Dangerous when small, a buffet when big. |
| Eating players | Fast | Big chunks, plus +15% with the Player Hunter node. |
| Red Tide carcasses | Fast | Follow the marker. Get there first. |
| Feeding Tube farming | Steady | Every pellet counts. Pair with a Lure. |
| Regular plants / meat | Steady | The baseline. |
| Gold sugar / shiny food | Bonus | Worth a detour. There's a +25% node for it. |
| Playtime rewards | Small | Free. One player got 60 DNA after 3 minutes. |
| Quick DNA Boost card | Multiplier | 15 minutes of double DNA. |
Multipliers worth stacking
- Big Appetite (card) — more DNA from everything you eat.
- DNA Gain, Meat DNA, Plant DNA (skill tree) — permanent percentage boosts.
- Head Start (skill tree) — 40 DNA at the start of every life.
- Rebirth Savings (skill tree) — keep more DNA through rebirths.
Things that waste DNA
- Rebuilding your cell over and over. Every part you place costs DNA. Plan before you edit.
- Dying. Obvious, but it's the biggest loss of all.
- Parts you never use. If a part isn't doing anything, its slot should be holding something that is.
Paid DNA
The shop sells DNA directly. Of the packs with a listed amount, +250 DNA for 35 R$ is the best rate (about 7 DNA per Robux). The full breakdown is on the Shop page, and you can compare options in the calculator.
